Skyshutter Partners With Midland Cleaning And Maintenance Ltd

Drones used for roof inspections

Imagine how difficult this chimney would be to inspect at over 100 feet in the middle of a historic building.

Skyshutter is delighted to be working alongside Midland Cleaning and Maintenance Ltd to provide drone support.

As recently demonstrated at a historic site in Birmingham, our drones were deployed to inspect the condition of a very complex, hard to reach roof.

Several areas of the roof were identified as damaged and in need of repair.

Not only was the inspection fast and efficient, no one had to work at height and there was no need for additional equipment.

Tim Cleverley, Sales Director at MCM, said:

"We had great feedback from our client. It was extremely helpful to identify problem areas and we are now preparing to repair the site using access MEWPS. We look forward to working with Skyshutter again."

Skyshutter were recently contacted by the estate management team of a Stately Home to help with a leaking roof. The Buckinghamshire property was built in 1909 and there was internal evidence of water ingress. A full roof inspection was needed but access would have been dangerous and difficult without full scaffolding.
